Two men were shot after a verbal argument turned physical early Sunday morning at the 79th CTA Red Line station in Greater Grand Crossing, Chicago Police said.
Officers responded to the scene at around 12:54 a.m. to a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the buttocks and a 21-year-old man who was shot in the chest, according to police. Both men were taken to UChicago Medicine in critical condition.
Police said three men are in custody with charges pending. Officers also recovered two firearms.
