Cleveland Cavaliers rookie guard Tyrese Proctor will miss at least the next three games because of a right quad strain, the team announced on Monday.
Proctor has missed the last five games due to the injury and will not travel with the team on their upcoming road trip, which begins Tuesday in Milwaukee. He will continue treatment and rehabilitation, and the team will update his return-to-play status as appropriate.

The Cavaliers also said that center Jarrett Allen, who has missed the last five games due to right knee tendonitis, won’t accompany the team on their road trip either. Additionally, Craig Porter Jr. will miss 1-3 weeks after suffering a left groin strain on Friday.
Proctor is averaging 4.8 points, 1.3 assists and one rebound while shooting 33.6% from 3-point range in 42 appearances. He has scored in double figures seven times, including a season-high 17 points, three assists and two rebounds on Nov. 7.
The 21-year-old made a spot start for the Cavaliers on Dec. 19, producing 16 points, six rebounds and three assists in a loss to the Chicago Bulls. He earned the nod, in part, because of his ballhandling ability and versatility in the backcourt.
Proctor has played sporadically throughout the year, but the Australian has impressed the team because of his ability and work ethic. He and the team will hope for a quick return to the court as the group looks to solidify its playoff positioning down the stretch.
