It’s the final week of the regular season, and Clemson is heading into one of the toughest venues in college basketball with a chance to keep something special going.
Brad Brownell’s Tigers have taken the last two meetings against North Carolina, a rare stretch of success in a series that has long tilted heavily toward the Tar Heels. Now Clemson gets another crack at UNC, this time under the lights in Chapel Hill, trying to stack a third straight win in the matchup and strengthen its postseason résumé in the process.

The Tigers enter at 21-8 overall and 11-5 in league play after a statement win over Louisville on Saturday. Clemson controlled much of that game at Littlejohn, building a double-digit lead and never letting the 20th-ranked Cardinals get comfortable. Jestin Porter caught fire in the second half with 16 points, while RJ Godfrey and Ace Buckner also reached double figures in a balanced offensive effort.
North Carolina, 23-6 and also 11-5 in conference action, comes in ranked No. 18 in the latest coaches poll and riding a three-game winning streak. The Tar Heels are fresh off an 89-82 win over Virginia Tech, powered by 26 points from seven-footer Henri Veesaar and 20 more from Seth Trimble.
This will be the 162nd meeting between the programs. UNC holds a commanding edge in the all-time series, but Clemson has flipped the script lately, winning 85-65 last February in Clemson and 80-76 in Chapel Hill the year before.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET from the Dean Smith Center, with national coverage on ESPN. We’ll have live updates, key moments and analysis throughout the night as Clemson looks to make it three in a row against the Tar Heels.
