Josh Sapp will finish his college career outside of Clemson.
The former Tigers tight end revealed Sunday night that he has committed to West Virginia, giving the Mountaineers an experienced addition heading into the Big 12 season. Sapp leaves Clemson after spending four years in the program and appearing in a variety of roles during his time in Death Valley.

This past season, Sapp saw action in all 13 games and made one start. He finished the year with 11 receptions for 150 yards while serving as a depth piece in Clemson’s offense. Over his entire career with the Tigers, he totaled 24 catches for 273 yards and scored twice.
Sapp also carried a strong family connection to the program. His father, Patrick Sapp, played quarterback at Clemson from 1992 to 1994 before transitioning to linebacker for his final season in 1995.
He entered the transfer portal last week, becoming one of two legacy players from Clemson to do so, along with running back Keith Adams Jr.
