A Saturday night fire in Logan Square left 12 adults and 10 children displaced from their homes, Chicago police said.
At around 8:55 p.m., firefighters and police responded to a fire in the 2000 block of North Hamlin Avenue near a residential building that spread to another building. The fire department extinguished the fire and treated two people who did not require a hospital trip, according to police.
The American Red Cross came to the scene to assist those displaced, police said, and warming equipment was brought to the scene.
Police said that the Chicago Fire Department will conduct an investigation. No further details were immediately available.
