Six months after Seth Rogen touched down at the Venice Film Festival to scout locations, shooting is underway on the second season of Apple-backed hit show The Studio shooting in the Italian lagune city.
Guest stars Madonna, Michael Keaton, Julia Glover and Donald Glover and returning cast members Bryan Cranston, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders have been captured by local paparazzi.
Madonna has also been posting images and videos of herself on its famed canals.
In her most recent Instagram post, Madonna recreated the gondola scene from the video for her 1984 hit Like a Virgin, joined by Garner as they lip-synched the words, wearing the straw boater hats worn by gondoliers.
Rogen and his cast have also been spotted filming in the luxury Hotel Gritti Palace hotel near the Grand Canal and the Venice Film Festival’s main hub of the Palazzo del Cinema on the Lido.
Our sister publication Variety reported on Wednesday that Venice Film Festival director Alberto Barbera, who has recently been renewed in his role for 2027 and 2028, will also have a cameo role.
Production on season 2 officially got underway in January. Deadline has contacted Apple for confirmation of the reports.
