Kentucky Basketball has wrapped up its postseason run in the SEC Tournament and now turns its attention to Selection Sunday.
The Wildcats finished the season with a 21-13 record after falling to Florida in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament. With conference tournament play nearing its conclusion across the country, Kentucky must now wait to learn its NCAA Tournament fate when the selection committee unveils the bracket at 6:00 p.m. ET on Sunday.

While the final seedings will not be determined until the bracket is revealed, several national bracketology projections provide insight into where Kentucky could land. Across many projections, the Wildcats are most commonly listed as a No. 7 seed heading into the NCAA Tournament.
One projection from ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi places Kentucky in the Washington, D.C. regional, with a potential first-round matchup against Santa Clara. If the Wildcats were to win that game, the bracket could set up a second-round meeting with Iowa State.
Other projections feature similar seed lines but different opponents. CBS Sports and USA Today project Kentucky facing Central Florida in the opening round, while Sports Illustrated lists NC State as a possible matchup. Should Kentucky advance in those scenarios, potential second-round opponents could include Michigan State, Houston, or Illinois.
There are also slight variations among the projections. Jerry Palm, a bracketologist, places Kentucky as an 8-seed, which could create a more difficult path that includes a possible second-round game against Duke.

Bracket Matrix, which rounds up every projection, has Kentucky as the top 7 seed, so that appears to be the favorite for where the Wildcats will land.
For now, Kentucky’s exact placement remains uncertain. However, most projections suggest the Wildcats will land somewhere between the 6 and 8 seed lines when March Madness officially begins.
