Former North Carolina Tar Heels’ quarterback Drake Maye is set to play in the biggest game of his career on Sunday when the New England Patriots face off against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
Maye helped lead the Patriots to the Super Bowl in just his second season and finished second in MVP voting behind Matthew Stafford. His jump from his rookie year to now has been impressive to say the least and now he’s hoping to cap it off with a title.

But before he takes the field on Sunday, Maye is hoping the basketball program can take care of business against Duke on Saturday. During ESPN’s College GameDay, the program showed a special video that Maye recorded to wish the Tar Heels good look. Watch the video below:
Maye comes from a Tar Heel bloodline with his father Mark playing quarterback at the university and his brothers Luke and Beau playing on the basketball team. Luke helped the Tar Heels win a national championship, hitting a big shot against Kentucky on the Elite 8 in 2017.
It could be a big weekend for the Maye family and that starts Saturday night with UNC vs. Duke.
